The hamper’s best feature is that it does not have to stay open after its job is done.
Here is how we actually use it
- Collect. Dirty clothes go into the open hamper during the day.
- Transfer. When it is full—or we are finished for the day—we move the clothes into a storage bag.
- Stow. The bag goes under the jackknife sofa, and we collapse the hamper too.
That is the whole system. We are not asking one open container to hold every piece of dirty laundry for the entire trip.
Why that works in our camper
Floor space in a family trailer has more than one job. Something that is handy while we are using it does not always need to remain in the way afterward. The collapsible hamper lets us separate collecting clothes from storing them.
The under-sofa storage is part of our particular Aurora setup. If that space is not available in your camper, the same routine needs a different storage location—it is not a reason to assume every floor plan works like ours.
A useful routine, not a list of untested promises
Our recommendation is about the way this hamper fits our day. We are reviewing that routine—not claiming a particular capacity, odor control, waterproofing, or long-term durability. Those details should not be guessed from the word “collapsible.”
Would we buy it again?
Yes, we would replace it with the same one. It gives dirty clothes a place to go and then folds out of the way. In a camper, that is a perfectly good reason to keep something.
